Derailed Craft Beers
Our pilot brewing project, producing a range of experimental, cutting-edge craft beers.
The beers are brewed on a small 2.5 barrel kit, which gives our brewers the freedom to innovate with new methods and ingredients, and let their creativity go wild! A ‘back to basics’ set-up consists of a mash tun, Copper and open-top fermenter, yielding around 700 pints (a fraction of the volume from our main 20 barrel kit which produces roughly 5,600 pints per brew!)
Led by Head Brewer Cody Palin, the focus to date has been on hazy and hoppy IPAs, showcasing bold ‘juicy’ flavour profiles. These limited edition brews are launched in our taproom, predominantly in keg and can, but not forgetting cask! If there is a high demand for a Derailed beer, it can be scaled up on our larger kit.
Several beers have been so popular we have brought them back on tap again and again. Idaho 7 and Magic Dragon have both scooped awards, and proven to be a very popular pint in our taproom The Railway Shed. The Derailed team have had fun with a few collabs too, most notably Derailed x The Jam Factory, with Jam Dunk, a mango infused incarnation of Idaho 7, a permanent fixture on the bar at Hereford’s The Jam Factory.

Jam Dunk IPA - 5%
Derailed by Ludlow Brewing Co. X The Jam Factory, presents Jam Dunk: The super-juicy one!
Notes of zippy grapefruit meet hints of luscious mango in this easy-going tropical IPA. This is a keg beer brimming with hop character from Idaho 7 hops which are known for their pine, tropical fruity and floral flavours and aromas, most notably mango and pink grapefruit.
The fruity, citrus hoppiness provides a refreshing bitterness to Jam Dunk, balanced with a light sweet biscuit malt base. Natural mango extracts are added to increase that luscious, juicy IPA impact. Chilled and lightly carbonated, it's the perfect sip for hot summer days!
Jam Dunk was crafted exclusively for The Jam Factory by Derailed by Ludlow Brewing Co. Jam Dunk is a permanent pour on the bar at this exciting new venue in Hereford offering craft beers, cocktails, live music, Mexican food.
Unfiltered and unfined. 5%.

Nebula - 5.5%
Embark on a cosmic journey with Nebula - a stellar beer that is out of this world.
With a 5.5% ABV and a celestial blend of Harlequin, Simcoe, Mosaic, and Citra hops, Nebula pours a hazy yellow, exuding tropical and stone fruit aromas.
This vegan-friendly, gluten-free keg beer offers a low bitterness profile while maintaining a crisp and refreshing character.
Glide through layers of ripe mango, pineapple, and peach, all wrapped in a nebulous haze, making every sip an interstellar escape.

Presley Squash
Bursting with tropical aromas and flavours, another juicy little number released in July 2022. A 4.8% ABV New England IPA style craft beer brewed with hop oils.
