More than 30,000 pints delivered to people’s homes

We were featured in the Shropshire Star this week (on the business pages) for delivering more than 30,000 pints to people’s homes since the first lockdown in March last year.

Our home delivery service began as a way of offering a safe, contactless way of catering for craft beer lovers who were missing a pint at the pub. Our ‘beer at home’ delivery model covers homes within a 30-mile radius of the brewery. We deliver to Knighton, Hereford, Shrewsbury, Telford, Kidderminster and all the villages and tiny hamlets in-between.

It’s just a drop in the pint glass compared to our busy we were prior to Covid. We offered brewery tours, and our taproom was one of the most popular venues around, for live music, Ludlow fringe events, celebrations; it’s seen quite a few parties for weddings and birthdays! But the deliveries, along with being able to continue to offer takeaways, have meant business survival for us.

Brewery owner Gary Walters said: "We have only been able to open to customers for four months of the past 11 months since the first lockdown, and that was restrictions of social distancing and table service, which meant a significant dent in takings. But being able to focus on off sales has meant business survival for us."

A selection of canned and bottled craft beers, 4-pint growlers, 9-pint mini kegs and bag-in-box beers are available. Delivery is free with a £15 minimum order in Ludlow, and £40 outside Ludlow. Orders are via phone only. To enquire call 01584 873291.
